Breakfast was very good, with prompt and efficient service. The evening meal we had was of very good quality and delicious! Nice that all the bread was homemade! The Lakes are always beautiful but was lovely to see the west Lakes, the scenery was amazing. Beds very comfortable.

Lovely comfortable room with everything you could possibly need. Sherry and Lauren were very welcoming and couldn’t do enough to make our stay a good one. Excellent breakfast, with good quality produce, again Sherry went out of her way to ensure we left fully fuelled ready for the day ahead.

East Mount House, hotel in Barrow in Furness

Located in Barrow in Furness, East Mount House is a guest house with garden and shared lounge/TV room, 3 miles from the North Walney National Nature Reserve and Walney Island Airport.

The accommodation wasn't full on the night I stayed. The owner moved me (without me asking) down the corridor as there was a family with a young baby who was crying and she was concerned I would not sleep well. The bed was comfy, the shower was hot. The curtains kept the light out. Breakfast was great and the owner let me put a carton of soya milk in her fridge for my breakfast

Great host, accommodation, location and breakfast. Value for money. Liked the property. Comfortable room and bed. Appreciated the private guest lounge space downstairs. Didn't have our own ensuite, but bathroom was right next to our room and was for our sole use while we were there, so not a problem for us. Great breakfast - cooked and continental. Would definitely stay again :-)

Great location next to the city center. The room has everything you need: iron, extra towels, and toothbrush. If you forget anything, just ask, and they'll provide it. Free parking is available next to the hotel.

The location suited our purpose, being within walking distance to the town centre but quiet at night too Ian couldn't do enough and was a welcoming host. He even cleared his yard, so we had off-street parking for our bikes

Fantastic property in a great central location. Tobi is a great host who gave us more than enough information about the property and surrounding areas. Netflix and WiFi were a great touch. Keys were a easy and safe pick up, house was perfectly tidy and bigger than expected. Plenty of room for the whole family. Would definitely recommend for anyone needing a place to stay in that area. Would like to say a massive thank you to Tobi again as he went above and beyond to make sure we were having a comfortable stay.

I have just stayed a week at this guest house. Everything was fine. I have no complaints whatsoever. The hosts are charming, the place is spotlessly clean, it is 5 minutes from Barrow Rail Station. It is a grand old Victorian house. It has a nice vibe about it.

It's right on the edge of the towns main street (Morrison's) is meters away. 15 minute stroll from train station. If you want 5 star you pay for 5 star at £30 a night do not expect 5 star. You get a quaint room, TV, great WiFi, fridge, micro wave, share of a kitchen (if needed) and shared bathroom. A great host. For 3 nights - on my own - it was inexpensive and very adequate.
