Lovely little studio, very cosy. Kitchen was well equipped for size, including washing machine. Nice personal touches like a home-baked cake, fresh milk, tea & coffee etc. Plenty of street parking.
No 45, Ballater is a guest house set in an acre of gardens and is just 5 minutes' walk from the center of Ballater. The individually designed rooms each offer unique charm.

What a beautiful place, with such helpful, friendly hosts
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. The hosts, Joyce and Garry (with his marigold gloves wave) were friendly and welcoming.

The private bothy was such a unique and cozy place to stay. It was extremely quiet and private, and not difficult to get to at all. The bothy in general was about as clean as a place could possibly be, and it is obviously a very loved place. Furthermore, the recommendations of things to do by the hosts were spot on and really made the stay special. I would absolutely stay here again.

The house was lovely historic with spacious beautifully decorated rooms; the location was perfect and ideallic, being very quiet and overlooking the river. The hosts were lovely, friendly and provided a level of hospitality that I've not experienced for a long time. I am very much looking forward to going back! Oh yes, and the breakfast with locally sourced ingredients was wonderful.
The welcome. The overall accommodation, especially the chandeliers, the table silver wear, the decor, drinks in room, the quality of breakfasts and platters, the jams and marmalades and the very attentive and charming hosts.
