A beautiful home from home, with caring, friendly owners. The room was comfortable and huge! Breakfast was superb.

The apartment is in perfect location, in the historic centre of Metz. The interior is beautifully furnished, and what is more important, it is filled in with the artwork of the owner. All the necessary cosmetics are provided, as well as tea, water, coffee, and sugar. We liked the fact that the speaker was also provided.
To us, the apartment had a unique climate, and we found it perfect for a couple getaway. Also, the owner was very sympathetic and spoke very good English - we had no problems with communication whatsoever.
I recommend it to people who like to feel the artistic spirit and simply admire someone's artwork.

Close to the GR5 / E2 long distance path in an area where there are few accommodation options I was really glad of Le Clos des Pommes. Lovely spacious room with all I needed and an excellent breakfast.

They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Very friendly host who showed us all we had to know. We had the family room which is fairly priced. Good simple breakfast was included for us. Good parking on the premises.
