A pleasant property in a quiet, peaceful part of the countryside. My room was a good sized double with an en suite bathroom (with a bath), and separate toilet. The Wi-Fi signal was good and the Smart TV meant I could access my UK subscriptions (YouTube, Netflix etc.) and watch English-speaking TV in the evening which is good for a solo traveller. There was private off road parking at the front of the property.

Our host Jessica was superb! She did everything to make our stay comfortabel, from recommending a restaurant (and informing availabilithy) to arranging a wonderful breakfast.
Thank you for the homemade applejuice, Jessica. We enjoyed it at home!
Jessica recommended several restaurants, but especially our dinner at Le Relais de Beaufort was excellent! They have a vending machine outside, so the following day we went back for a meal which we took home.
Special note: there was a snackbar a few minutes from our accommodation. I cannot remember the name but if you want a quick and simple mail, I can recommend this for fries, etc. We speak basic French and the man working there heard our accents and came without asking to offer help in translating the menu and explaining what was on offer. A very kind and friendly gesture!
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.

A nice cheery welcome, a spacious room , separate toilet and shower, nice and clean, comfortable bed. It was nice and quiet so we slept very well.
We were given a choice of either having breakfast at the Forge or at the Chateau, a few minutes walk away. We chose to walk to the Chateau, and we were glad we did, it is a lovely building, the breakfast room had marble fireplaces and lots of character.
There was a lot of choice for breakfast, savoury and sweet, pastries, baguettes, eggs. the staff were kind and helpful.
The hotel is set in a quiet, rural location. The room was really good with a separate sitting room with sofa, a separate bedroom and a shower room. The shower was really good and the bed was comfortable.
We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was good with plenty of choice.
All the staff were helpful and friendly.
A stunning property, well maintained. Beautifully decorated with all mod cons. Immaculately clean, with plenty of towels, and a spacious side room to put all out luggage in. Friendly staff, plenty of parking, and good food in the restaurant. Out in the countryside, so very quiet. You can sleep with the windows open and there is no noise! Very reasonably priced.
The hotel is an impressive converted monastry and quite quirky. The location is very quiet with ample parking. Staff were helpful and breakfast was fine.
Everything was perfect; the location with nice walks to do around the lakes and in the forest, the beautiful room with separate toilet, very quiet, the breakfast at the castle the next morning…. Nice welcome from Franck who allowed us to put food in his fridge; he gave us good tips for visiting a local cheese farm and brewery. thanks !
All round nice place to be quiet and clean
The food at the nearby restaurant was very good
