I am not used to writing reviews, this time I will make an exception. Missilac is a nice village that is worth a visit. However, what makes the stay really special is the house of Marie-Céline & Didier LA RECREATION _ Ancienne école. Large, airy, surrounded by greenery overlooking the nearby cathedral, it's superbly equipped and complete with many amusing details, such as the wi-fi password written in chalk on a school blackboard that's been inserted into the drawer of an old school desk. However, above it all is the hospitality and attention of Marie-Céline & Didier. I look forward to visiting again soon.

really characterful building and surrounds - lovely old property and the channel pool was lovely to refresh in - my daughters loved it. Staff were really welcoming and helpful - allowed us to use the kitchen facilities to sort our evening meal and made us feel so welcome. Room was lovely and full of old house charm and character (in a good way). We were on a cycling trip for the week and stayed here the one night - it was perfect for that as we didn't want or need to get out to anything nearby. Lovely traditional French breakfast of fruit, breads and jams, bowls for drinking your chocolate chaud or tea etc.

Everything was good, it would have been 10 if there was another cooking ring. We understand that this is temp. and next year, this will be corrected. Really nice places close by, we would return. C and P.

it was like stepping back in time with a modern twist,the bedroom was dominated by a very comfortable 4 poster bed, all the rooms wonderfully furnished and decorated.The hostess was an amazing chef and the dinner and breakfast were to die for. we wanted for nothing, superb !
