Wow! Such an amazing experience. Staying on Elephantine Island was one of the best experiences of my life. The locals on the island are incredibly friendly. During our time, we had many amazing interactions with locals as we were invited into homes for tea and had the opportunity for cultural and language exchanges. Since there are no cars on the island, it is quiet and peaceful. The restaurants on the island are the best in Aswan and there are friendly dogs and cats everywhere. At first, we thought it might be inconvenient to cross the river several times per day to access the rest of the city but we found that it was more than worth the inconvenience.
The hotel itself is beautiful, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is great and the hotel staff is friendly and genuinely wants you to have the best experience possible.
I'd specifically like to highlight the driver who works for the hotel. He picked us up from the airport, drove us to Abu Simbel and then to Luxor while waiting for us to stop at Kom Ombo and Edfu temple. We spent about 13 hours in a car in total with him over our 4 days in Aswan. He was incredibly patient, friendly and is an excellent driver.

This place is awesome! The whole layout of the place is unique because it's situated on an island called Elephantine Island, which one can access easily with ferries. The place is very beautiful and peaceful right among nature. The surrounding spots are great and beautiful places for sightseeing. Even the Nile River has cold and refreshing water that are good for swimming. The people of the guesthouse are so friendly, helpful, always smiling and happy it doesn't feel like a hotel at all, because it is just like it's name - hospitality guesthouse. Even the facilities of the place felt so authentic. The owner of the guesthouse has been fantastic for us for arranging for us to visit Philae Temple, Abu Simbel Temple and Kalabsha Temple, our group were particularly happy for he went out of his way to make sure he got the passes for us to get entry into Kalabsha Temple after the Egyptian government stopped entries into the temple for any tourists. All our trips, breakfasts, transports, ferries and time schedules were handled for us so it made our stay easy and enjoyable!

Saef's hospitality is unmatched. His kindness alone made it such a great stay; he provides snacks and tea, makes an AMAZING omlette, coordinates transport/tours, and is wonderful to talk to. Outside of that, everything I was looking for accomodation-wise was there: the Wi-Fi was strong, room was comfortable, and shower was hot.

The place is super clean. Cleanliness and comfort is very important to me so my room was clean, had working AC, view of the Nile from the window, and the bathroom was also super clean. No dirty smells, excellent water pressure, the bed was clean. The terrace has so peaceful and had a beautiful view of the dunes and Nile. Everything was amazing and I wish I would have stayed longer. It was pleasure to be invited for egyptian dinner, enjoy the morning coffee with great choice of books in your lovely garden. Wonderful small guest house, beautifully decorated in Nubian style. Clean, comfortable rooms for our family and our host Abdo was so welcoming. A superb, filling diverse breakfast. Would love to come back when the roof patio is complete for the lovely river view.

Seyid and his family were the most polite hosts ever. He treats you like family. He organised everything we were asking for for excellent price. Not trying to trick you or anything. The first night he invited us even for dinner. Everything is well prepared with a lot of love and you feel it. It's located in a very quiet area next to the Nile and it feels like a picture when you look outside. Price/value is outstanding.
Every detail is done with love in the place. Sied was a kind and great host, who took us for a nice boat ride to Philae temple and managed my transfer to the airport. Nefisa was very caring and cooked great dinner. I had a lovely and memorable time at Wanas Kato!
Amazing accomodation with a wonderful host Sied, great food, beautiful views, great air con as it was 42 degrees and Sied went above and beyond to create a special sunset feluca ride and adventure to Philae Temple. Loved the guesthouse and highly recommend as a home base if you plan to visit Abu Simbel too.
