My husband and I are from Vietnam. We spent our honeymoon here.
- The hotel is in a very convenient and quiet location.
- The owner and staff are very friendly and enthusiastic. Although they cannot speak much English, but they are very honest. When I asked for a car for the next trip, they also helped me very well.
- The food was delicious, but too much for us. When we did not finish it, we asked them to keep it in the refrigerator and in the evening they reheated it for us and they did not charge anything. Although I gave them a tip. I recommend you guys should try Grill Chicken.
Conclude, I would give this hotel a score of 10/10, which is suitable for the cost we spent.

Really loved staying here! I would suggest it’s the best place to stay on Elephantine Island and thus the best place to stay in Aswan. Lovely views, very kind people. A simple life and very confortable. And the restaurant out the front is great!

Maghrahbi's Guest House was a little oasis in the chaos of Egypt. It was heaven to stay at and the staff were so welcoming and accommodating. Even the trip across the Nile to get to and from it was a pleasure. Breakfast was good. There is a restaurant on site that has a set menu that you can order from. A small mini mart for snacks is a 5 minute walk.

This is a very cozy and comfortable place. The property is well located and can be reached quickly from the public ferry pier. It is quiet and has fantastic view from the windows and terrace. Very hospitable and wellkomming hosts. The advantage is the option to order meals (local cuisine), they are delicious and the portions are great. In addition, the host can arrange visits to tourist sites at a reasonable cost and with a focus on your preferences (we took advantage of a camel tour and a trip to Luxor), which we were completely satisfied with.

We loved our stay here. The room had everything we needed and it had a great view towards Nile.
The owner was very friendly and we felt like at home. We enjoyed our conversations with him.
The location is perfect as it's very close to the best restaurants in Aswan and there is a public boat that goes often to the city in less than 5 min. We never had to wait for the boat as it's goes quite frequently as well.
Even though the island is not in good conditions, we loved our stay there. All the people we met or encountered were very friendly.
I am so glad we decided to stay 3 nights instead of 2 as it's my favorite part of the trip.
The owner also helped us arranging several tours and we were happy with all those trips we took.
I would totally recommend this guest house to everyone.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
The owner is a friendly Nubian who enjoy hosting guests. This guest house is the only one that faces north, and we had a panoramic view of the old Aswan dam. As the house is quiet near the ferry, you can hire a boat directly from the owner. He will drive you to the ticket office first and then to the temple.
Super welcoming host. Authentic place with special attention to details. Saddam is amazing guy who always do the best for his guests. It was pleasure to be invited for egyptian dinner, enjoy the morning coffee with great choice of books in your lovely garden. Highly recommend for everyone who wants to explore real Nubian atmosphere.
Wonderful small guest house, beautifully decorated in Nubian style. Clean, comfortable rooms for our family and our host Abdo was so welcoming. A superb, filling diverse breakfast. Would love to come back when the roof patio is complete for the lovely river view.
Amazing place and great hosts! Aya was great at communication and organized our trips to Abu Simbel and so on.. They even upgraded our room to Nile view and were always happy to help with a smiling face!
Tamer was so kind and friendly and went out of way to help us. We are a family of 4 and all vegetarians, The food at the restaurant was simply amazing! We ended up staying 1 extra night! Cannot recommend enough!
Seyid and his family were the most polite hosts ever. He treats you like family. He organised everything we were asking for for excellent price. Not trying to trick you or anything. The first night he invited us even for dinner. Everything is well prepared with a lot of love and you feel it. It's located in a very quiet area next to the Nile and it feels like a picture when you look outside. Price/value is outstanding.
Every detail is done with love in the place. Sied was a kind and great host, who took us for a nice boat ride to Philae temple and managed my transfer to the airport. Nefisa was very caring and cooked great dinner. I had a lovely and memorable time at Wanas Kato!
Amazing accomodation with a wonderful host Sied, great food, beautiful views, great air con as it was 42 degrees and Sied went above and beyond to create a special sunset feluca ride and adventure to Philae Temple. Loved the guesthouse and highly recommend as a home base if you plan to visit Abu Simbel too.
