Probably my favourite place to stay in Quito, wonderful clean rooms, very friendly staff, and a great location close to many shops and restaurants. The cute dog too, of course. I will be staying here again for sure :)

A great place close to the Quito airport. The staff were extremely kind, they even prepared breakfast for us at 4am and organized a taxi transfer to the airport. The room was big and comfortable.

My partner and I loooved it here. It's felt like a home away from home, we stay here about 5 times because we needed to use Quito as a base for several things we wanted to do in Ecuador such as, the Galapagos, Cotopaxi and the Amazon etc. The rooms are always clean and cosy. They offer free bananas, tea and coffee (freshly ground coffee!) which is such a comfort when you're travelling. Plus the most gorgeous breakfast for $3. The staff were so kind and let us keep our bags in their storage room for free for almost a month. Lovely communal spaces too, especially the garden. Couldn't recommend it enough, it's simple but all you need and more.
Hostal Latitud Ecuem features accommodation situated 1.1 km from the centre of Quito and offers a bar and a shared lounge.

Did not have breakfast. Excellent staff, very kind and friendly. Our room was very, very loud from outside traffic, car alarms, etc, and sleep was difficult. The room itself was super clean.
Ideally set in Quito, San Marcos Cultural & Guesthouse offers express check-in and check-out and private parking. With garden views, this accommodation provides a patio.

Edna and Amador were so, so kind and they did their utmost to make our stay comfortable. Edna made an Ecuadorian breakfast for us each morning, and it was absolutely delicious! The location is perfect, within easy walking distance to all attractions in the colonial district and their are many places to grab a great, cheap meal nearby. Our room was huge and had a little kitchen to make meals if we chose to do so, and the view was amazing! A heater was provided and much appreciated, as well as some extra blankets on the bed.
Many reviews have mentioned the lack of hot water - there's a trick to getting hot water! There is a little on-demand hot water heater on the shower head. You want to turn the tap on counter clockwise just enough until you hear the humming that indicates the water heater is turning on. Then continue turning the tap counter clockwise *in very small increments* until the water is at the desired temperature. If you turn the tap on at full blast right away (like I did at first), the unit will not be able to heat the volume of water that's inside the little water heater! You won't have a huge spray volume, but you will have warm water.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Sebastian is an amazing host, he will take care of everything that you might need! He can arrange airport pickup and drop-off at reasonable prices. The guesthouse is right next to the park, in a quiet and safe area with many restaurant options. One can easily get to the centre by Uber or Metro. The kitchen is exceptionally well organised and equipped, suitable for long term stays. A bike friendly guesthouse too!
Excellent large apartment in the center of Quito, five minutes walk from the old city. Kitchen, coffee, tea available. Stable wifi connection. Quiet part of town, absolute silence at night. Excellent host will answer any questions if needed, tips on where to go in Quito, safety, etc. Very cheap accommodation and very luxurious at the same time.
A very charming, beautifully decorated, spotless clean boutique hotel at a good location in the heart of Mariscal with a great American breakfast and amazing hosts, Karolina and Daniel, who gave us tons of valuable travel tips and info. Unbeatable price / value, can highly recommend to all travellers coming to Quito.
Great location for exploring the old town, hosts are very welcoming and helpful, as well for organizing trips for example to Mindo. Charming old building, renovated with many thoughtful details. Small but nice rooftop terrace. We felt welcome and safe here.
Great hostel for what you pay for. Walking distance to Old town. It's slightly away from the tourist hustle and bustle so if that's what you're after then this place may not be for you. It gets quiet at night however the area is fully lit and secure.
Filling breakfast for $3. Keeps you going. Very helpful and attentive staff. Really good wifi too.
Great location in the heart of the old town. It’s super quiet and the hotel doesn’t let other guests stay in the central courtyard after around 9pm/10pm. The hotel is extremely charming. The rooms are pretty basic but do the job for one or two nights stay. They have a restaurant down stairs which was handy when other places were closed in the evening in the area. The staff were super helpful and got some washing done for us overnight. Overall excellent value for money.
friendly and helpful hosts, excellent breakfast and coffee, great location next to the historical city center, super quiet, very clean, great value for the money.
