La Puerta Roja Guest House offers accommodations within 2.4 miles of the center of Santo Domingo, with free Wifi and a kitchen with a microwave, a fridge, and kitchenware.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
Very nice host and very helpful too!
Great location and nice apartment.
There was water and WiFi available!
He even helped us get a taxi to the airport at a normal price.
Everything was absolutely perfect! The room is super cosy and clean. All the equipment we needed was available (fridge, microwave, AC, etc.) and the terrace was great for chilling and dining. Finally, the staff was welcoming and profesionnal. We fully recommend the Hostal boutique 53.
This stay at El Conde is great, best value for your buck, with great beds. There is a jacuzzy and working ac for the dominican heat, and great hosts. Totally recomended.
I felt very welcome and save with having the host Juan around. He was very helpful.
I like all the flowers and plants in the guesthouse. It made it look so cosy.
The hosts were very nice, very helpful and accomodating, nice to talk to. We recommend. The hotel is in the colonial neighbourhood so very central and close to the sea, restaurants, shops, musea. The room was quiet and on the roof there was a nice place to sit and a jacuzzi to enjoy. We could park our car just across the entrance in the street in a safe area. The breakfast was with fresh fruits and products so very tasty.
Cheap and cheerful, great host and near the main attractions but don't expect luxury. If you want somewhere with hotel amenities this is not for you. Jessica the landlady is very helpful, please try to remember this is situated where the locals live and they are suffering with high prices for basics and there are occasional power cuts.
