Property is very accessible by public transport from the main station, much better from the Suedkreuz station. They provided me a room based on my special request. I didn't try out the breakfast, but I was told that there were a few vegan options available upon request. The room was neat and all the necessary accessories (towels, bedsheets) were provided. The staff were very helpful, when luggage had to be stored for a later pickup on a Sunday.

The location is close to where we wanted to be while visiting family. The first stay was in a higher-priced room, that had a way to heat food and coffee but the second stay was in a slightly lower-priced room without those amenities.

The staff are very helpful and courteous, especially the front desk person. The breakfast was great, and the server was very solicitous. I had to do laundry, and I was allowed to use the laundry facility. The room is modern and clean. The Alpinia is in a residential neighborhood and very quiet. Near grocery store and train station. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
We shared a private double room and upgraded to with a bathroom as it was offered for much cheaper. The hostel was a great vibe, breakfast was cheap and a very good variety, they allowed you to rent towels which is good for travellers. The beds were two twins beds which isn't ideal for a couple. Overall a great hostel and nice stay in Berlin
A very unique, quirky and comfortable apartment with really good facilities. Loved that there was a cute balcony and everything we needed for our stay was provided, including a great sound system! There is a tram stop just across the street which takes you into the city centre, with one change (total journey takes approx 15 mins). Cafes, shops, a supermarket etc all nearby. Would definitely go back there again - loved it! Great host too.
Great location (central) for my needs and for an ok price. The host (it’s his home) was very responsive, respectful and friendly. Room was very clean, kitchen was clean, bathroom could be cleaner according to my standards (it’s somebody’s home and is used, so it’s not clean like a proper guesthouse/hotel).
Great location, spacious room, separate toilet and bathroom. Clean. Never had any issues with noise but I can imagine it could get noisy as it is large building with hundreds of rooms. Hostel side is popular with young people so if you are looking for a quiet place to stay probably it’s not the best choice.
The apartment is in a quiet neighbourhood but still close to the city centre. It was very clean and the perfect size for a week of exploring Berlin. The host is also super nice.
