Very cute studio with a cool outdoor patio that’s also a little kitchen. The family that runs it is so kind and their cat and dog too! Felt like a charming home stay. Bonus fruit platter on arrival and home cooked breakfast in the morning was the cheery on top! Also it’s extremely close to the airport and was half a mile from our rental car return. Every aspect of my stay at Casa del Café exceeded my highest expectations. The hosts are the kindest people you could ever meet, the hotel and grounds are peaceful and gorgeous, the freshly-prepared food outstanding, and the comfort and cleanliness beyond reproach. The friendly and pleasant town of Barva is ideally located for travel to any other part of the country.

This inn is well priced and includes a filling breakfast. Excellent location when you need to be on the outskirts of San Jose and on your way early to your next destination heading to la Fortuna.
Continuous improvements with new ownership are underway. You can enjoy a nice pool and great view from back of property overlooking greenspace. Luis, our host was incredibly hospitable. Bonus: He shared plenty of the java apples with us as we had never tried them before. They make for a juicy tasty treat.. You will feel secure in this gated inn.
