A really nice hostal. There is a huge living / kitchen space on the bottom floor which is ideal for chilling or cooking if you choose.
The rooms are large and cleaned daily. There is plenty of space for luggage etc. The showers are warm which isn’t always the case!
There are not permanent staff on site but they are helpful when you message and the breakfast they cook in the morning is great. I’d say this hostal is most ideal for couples rather than people looking to socialise, but breakfast is in the communal area so you do meet people

Beautiful property that has preserved architecture from colonial period and a touch of modernity (like the pool and well equipped communal kitchen). The walls of this hostel, like traditional houses of Barichara, are made with rocks and mud which keep the rooms cool during hot and dry days. Best price for a dorm bed compared to other hostel of this town!
Great location just a few blocks away from the square. The hostess was very kind, the place has a lot of potential and looks like it has been very good in the past. The room and the bathroom are large.
Best accommodation we have had so far. The host and his aid were very kind and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious, the premises were clean, and the bedroom in this 200 years old building was particularly comfortable and charming. Barichara has been a real pleasure.
This hostel is situation in the heart of Barichara, walking distance to everything in the quaint, beautiful town. The room exceeded our expectations as did the staff. Really enjoyed staying with the trip monkey hostel chain and would highly recommend.
Hands down one of the best places I stayed in Colombia. Everything about it is perfect, from the rooms and lobby area to the pool. The atmosphere is incredibly relaxing and quiet. The staff is very friendly. Barichara itself is a charming village with old colonial architecture, and the locals are incredibly welcoming and kind.
A great apartment, large comfortable and clean. Nice little kitchen, washing machine and a lovely garden with a small but adequate pool and lounging area. Maria was an excellent host, helped us with everything and was very friendly and chatty. Great quiet location and close enough to town. Great terrace outside the room.
