The people running the place were very helpful. I was charged the correct dollar to peso conversion, as my booking was in dollars. The son of the owners spoke really good English which was a great bonus. I liked the communal area where you could sit, have a coffee or tea etc. The location is not far from the beach and it can even be walked. The location of the place itself is in a pretty working class, non glamorous part of the city, but this is to be expected if you look at the price of the place. They also stored me bag for me after I checked out, which was nice as well.

Great host, who immediately sent new towels when we contacted her as there weren’t enough. Apartment was really clean and well laid out with a nice little balcony. Decent Wi-Fi and nice secure compound.

The house of the hostel is beautiful. It seems like its best days are over (unless someone renovates it..) but you can tell it used to be a really nice house. If you want to be close to the beach the location is perfect, otherwise quite far to Baquedano and the city centre.
The room we stayed in (double room, upstairs) was fine (although it was the third one that we got showed as the first one didn’t have electricity and the second one was without a window) and the bed comfortable.
Patricia was a great host and very helpful with local suggestions and any questions we had during the stay.
The loft was even nicer than the pictures suggest.
