Host Denise was welcoming, greeted us, gave us restaurant suggestions. Nice room with a balcony overlooking the lawn/garden. Quiet neighborhood. Wish we had stayed another night.
The charming Nydeck hotel at the east end of Bern's famous shopping lane offers you light and fully equipped rooms and superb views of the green hills and the Aare river.

A very tidy room, high ceiling so it felt spacious. Efficient but well lit. The bed, pillows, and Bettdecke were very comfy, especially after a long day of walking. The free breakfast was a good selection, good quality, and nicely arrayed in the small indoor cafe space.
Offering panoramic views of the Bernese Alps, Gasthof Alpenblick is located in the small village of Ferenberg, 5.6 mi from Bern.

Breakfast was good with a nice selection of bread, meat and cheese and a boiled egg. Juice and cappuccinos were good.
View from the room was of the rural area all the way to the mountains. Nice quiet location with GREAT free parking.
Dining room was nice and comfy and a good hang. Plenty of menu choices and the prices were good.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
The hostel is not close to the city centre but easily reachable by bus, which takes 8-10 min from the main station. Alternatively, it is a 25-30 min stroll.
The hostel provides with the Bern Card, so no need to pay for the transport.

The room was big, vey clean, the same as the shared areas, the bed was comfortable and had a sink with a mirror.

Great location, lockers in the room (keys are provided by the property), spacious showers, clean. Easy check-in and check-out process. It was also quiet. The hostel had a kitchen, I did not check it out, but it`s nice to have the opportunity. Mirror and sink in the room.
Great hosts, clean, quiet, lots of personal space and a laundry you could use. Close to public transport and host organised welcome cards that gave us free public transport. Great stay in an upmarket area, accessible by bus to old city.

Great location in a calm area, but at the same time relatively close to tram stations, 15 minutes by tram from the city center. The apartment was very comfortable and clean, the host was very communicative and flexible. I also appreciate the free ticket for local public transport.
Th location; although quiet, still in the city centre. The Room and facilities were so well thought out. The communal lounging area and coffee station, I found my little spot in the window area overlooking the street. Annika, the host was most friendly, patient and helpful.
The staff were really attentive and helpful, letting us keep bags at the hostel before check-in and providing us with plenty information on what to do while we were at Bern.

The double bedroom was basic but clean, along with the shared toilet and bathroom.

The location was charming and quaint- only an 8 min walk from the Bear park with beautiful views of the city. It sits on a hill, so even the bus ride to and from the city were nice. Also, Evelyn is such a kind and gracious host! I highly recommend staying here. This is her family home and very well kept. The garden is lovely to sit in. The kitchen and bathroom are modern and were always clean. The shared bathroom and kitchen were not a problem at all, I only had to share it with one other person.
Great location. This is a basic hotel but if all you are looking for is a cheap (for Swiss) place to just sleep for the night, this place is great. A courtyard room is quieter than the rooms facing the main road. All in all very good.
