Where to start … very good location, on the start of the main street where most of the restaurants are located, very sizeble (family) room, very clean, comfy beds, tasteful decorations, but best of all were the staff, we were made sooo welcome with information, small gifts, free transport to the airport and especiall the lady making awesome breakfasts (every day a bit different) and afternoon tea&coffee with cakes. It was like staying with good friends.

The guesthouse is extremely well located, clean and cozy. The breakfast has a variety of fruits, juices, breads, etc.. Nino and Daiana were very helpful and kind all the time 😊 Defending a very good place to stay on the island!!!!!!!!!!!

Casa Makaira has been renovated very recently. Our room was big and with nice view of the sea and of the morro de pico. Breakfast was super good, tapioca and lot of different cakes and fruits. Staff was very helpful. Location is very convenient.

Very central location close to the bank, beaches, pubs, the fort, and everything you might need. I also really liked that with a small charge you could fill up your water bottle with clean filtered water as much as you needed to, which is so much better than having to buy plastic mineral water bottles. Katia was such a great host too; she made me feel very comfortable and at home.
The hospitality of the host Nancy. Very nice lady who always was able to help with anything we needed. Quiet Pousada and the shower and beds were nice. Every day clean towels and even towels for going to the beach if wanted.
It is an exceptional boutique hotel, not big, not crowded, with an incredible view of the sea, beautifully designed, and organized. If you want some luxury on this gorgeous island - this is it. We celebrated my husband's birthday and we were taken care of very well. We were welcomed by Allana who is a perfect hostess, professional and caring at the same time. Other staff members were also very kind and attentive to our needs. Nothing was a problem for them. We are very grateful for their effort in making our stay perfect.
Absolutely stunning location, set in a quiet and windy part of the island from which you have a beautiful view on a few inhabited islands and from which, occasionally, you can spot sharks at sunset. Only 5 mins drive from the village - I would recommend get a buggy. Service was spot on with a very caring and friendly host.

Suzi and Mauro were absolutely great hosts! Always available, kind and very helpful. The room was new, modern and well decorated. Beds very comfortable and the best airconditioner I have seen in long time. And I cannot forget the great breakfasts, all you need, fresh and tasty.

The hosts, Fernanda and Jaci, were amazing and super helpful with everything. The Location was great too, it’s close to the supermarket and restaurants as well. Every morning we had a really nice breakfast with fresh fruits, juice, sandwiches, tapioca and eggs, so good! We would definitely recommend the place!
