I'd recommend La Lys for the location alone; it's an extremely short walk to the sights in Gent's city center, has many shops and restaurants on the same block, and is near public parking if you have a car. Beds were very comfortable and rooms were spacious. The self check-in system worked well and we appreciated the nice coffee makers in our room and in the breakfast room.
Irina was very communicative over booking.com messaging with an issue we had after hours. She was an exceptionally nice host and made our stay at La Lys very pleasant.

Eclectic furnishing in an 18th century building a few blocks from St. Bavo’s Cathedral. Four very large rooms with natural light and all the necessities, though packaging varies from room to room. Note that “Berlin” is on the third floor and should not be booked by anyone having mobility issues as the staircase is narrow and is without a railing. Vincent is the on-site manager and he is very helpful.

This house exceeded our expectations. We booked it very last minute but were amazed in every aspect. The house itself is very beautiful and spatious, 6 people can very comfortably stay in it. The location is gorgeous - very quiet, surrounded by nature, with a beautiful garden. It is a perfect distance to travel around Belgium by car, approximately 30-40 minutes to Brussels. I would absolutely recomend this accomodation to everyone!

The price is a bit high, but it is during the highest peak of the season in this region, during the Tour of Flanders, De Ronde van Vlaanderen, a cycling event. So that might explain why.
Everything. Freddy and Kalid were fantastic hosts to a somewhat boisterous group of 19 people. They were accommodating, welcoming and friendly and the place itself was perfect. Loads of shared space, great views, a collection of deers, a goose and some great beer - what’s not to like.
The rooms were really comfortable, food great, relaxed and I know we’ll be back.
very beautiful, quiet and calm place to stay. I spent 2 nights there in peace and i loved every moment of it. The Hosts were fantastic as was the delicious and fresh breakfast. 10/10 would recommend anyone wanting to visit ghent (30min drive) or bruge (1 hour drive). Definitely worth it, rooms were well equipped and clean throughout.
