Featuring mountain views, South Merino Guestfarm offers accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 17 km from Richmond Horse Museum. South Merino is luxurious - beautifully designed and decorated, with comfortable beds, a generous shower and great attention to detail. We were also lucky to have a dark night because the star gazing on the farm is amazing! Although close to the N1, is very quiet at South Merino guest farm and we slept very well. The farm is also very safe and secure. We chose the option of Karoo lamb pie and salad for supper - it was delicious and much appreciated after a long day on the road. We also ordered ham and cheese croissants as padkos and really enjoyed them. Our hostess, Anneke, also very kindly tracked down Karoo lamb for us to take home with us, for which we are extremely grateful. We will definitely be back.

A recently renovated farm stay, Jakkalswater guest farm offers accommodation in Nababeep. This farm stay has a plunge pool, a garden, barbecue facilities, free WiFi and free private parking. A really wonderful place to use as a stopover to Richtersveld. Beautiful surroundings and very comfortable and beautifully decorated room. Breakfast was spectacular, with everything from yoghurt to chops and chicken wings, besides the usual bacon and eggs and cereal. Really a nice surprise!
