This was an unexpected stay in the area after car troubles but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise! We stumbled on this farm in a panicky effort to find pet-friendly accommodation and I still can't believe our good fortune. The farm, and everyone on it, are fantastic. We were looking for a room for 1 night and ended up staying a lot longer. The cottages are incredibly comfortable, spacious, spotless, thoughtfully decorated and well kitted out in all rooms - the electric blankets, log fires, hot tub and freshly baked bread were amazing! There is plenty of space for the family, friends and furbabies. The setting is pretty spectacular - what a beautiful part of the world - and there are plenty of things to do within the property including fishing, hiking and birdwatching. Take the time to find the cranes, they're beautiful! A very big thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make our stay so special. Deborah, in particular, was fantastic and really saved the day, I cannot speak highly enough of her and everything she has done for us - it is so encouraging to know that there are such kind people in this world, who will drop everything to come and rescue complete strangers. Do yourself a favour and book one of the cottages, it is 100% worth it!!

The self-catering loft rooms are cozy, comfortable, and immaculately decorated. The staff is very friendly and obliging and they have the sweetest dogs who politely come to visit you now and then. The location and the views that come with it are to die for! Secluded enough that Thyme Out feels like a true getaway but close enough to Howick and the local restaurants and craft markets that there is plenty to keep you busy with. I will definitely be booking Thyme Out for future escapes to the Midlands.

The beautiful scenery of mountain and wildlife while driving to the property. The cottage style and furnishings are absolutely breathtaking. The decor reflects the nature outside. In the morning you are greeted by wildlife in front of the cottage and we were able to have coffee on the stoep with deer standing on the lawn. The area offers a lot of unique dining options but should you want to you can prepare absolutely anything in the kitchen as you’ll have everything you need.

Lovely large room in old farm house with great bathroom. Tons of atmosphere with beautiful farm surroundings. Were served a delcious homecooked dinner and breakfast in front of the fireplace by very friendly and profocient staff. Highly recommended.

Located in Nottingham Road in the KwaZulu-Natal region and Brookdale Health Hydro & Spa reachable within 4.4 km, Lavender Trout Guest Farm provides accommodation with free WiFi, BBQ facilities, a... The place was clean and spacious! The rusks were delicious and the view were beautiful! We truly had the best time, I wished we had booked for longer! 10/10 Recommend!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Located close to Bergville, Dalmore Guest Farm offers accommodation with an outdoor pool and water sports facilities. Complimentary WiFi is provided. Beautiful Farm stay with very nice views. Nearby are many attractions, we went twice to Monks Cowl for day hikes. They also serve nice breakfast and dinner.

This guest house offers award-winning cuisine in the tranquil setting of KwaZulu Natal’s Drakensberg Mountains, right on the border of Giants Castle Nature Reserve. I Loved every part of my stay. The staff was friendly, the food was amazing. The facilities were excellent. I will go back there soon.

My walks from Oban past nearby villages, taking in the beautiful surroundings, were very rewarding. The host Thea and her team were warm, welcoming and accommodative as always!!
