Amazing place for family with kids, but also for couples who love good food and nature. There are animals all around, farms, cats, dogs, ducks, a donkey, deers. Fantastic trouts grown right there, you can have them smoked or grilled, nice meat restaurant next door, local honey, amazing pancakes for breakfast etc. A petanque field for adults, toys for kids, forests and mountains all around. And most importantly - very lovely hosts, they are attentive to you of us well above average. Very safe - you can leave everything open, even for the night. We stayed for 3 nights, but feel should have done more. Will be back.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment with a lovely balcony. The beds were comfortable! This family owned business is a great place. The breakfasts were great (wonderful pastries), and the one dinner we had was huge and flavorful. The staff were welcoming and answered our questions about the area. I loved hearing the donkey sing and the peacock crow. The dogs and cats were adorable and the walk to the nearby village of Brce a great exploration of the area.

There was secure parking for my bike. The fact that I could chill at the end of the day with a glass of wine.

Domačija Malnarjevi, a property with a garden, a terrace and a bar, is set in Slavina, 34 km from The Škocjan Caves, 49 km from Trieste Train Station, as well as 6.4 km from Park of Military History... Extremely kind owners, quietness, parking and excellent breakfast. Good room size with air conditioning and strong wifi. Good place to visit the caves and enjoy the countryside.

Boasting mountain views, Turistična kmetija Pri Požarju offers accommodation with a balcony, around 32 km from Predjama Castle. Very nice place, with homemade food and a helpful owner: we had only mentioned we would like to play basketball and he just appeared with the proper ball! Next time we'd like to stay longer.
