I can’t say enough about the breakfast — fresh scrambled eggs made to order and and assortment of local and homemade pastries, cakes and jams. Yummy fruits such raspberries, quince and ripe fresh pineapple. My kids enjoyed the refreshing pool. You do hear the church bells clearly though out the day but they stop at 10pm.

Perfect surroundings. Magnificent view from the apartment. Continental breakfast is perfect and very fresh. The Serra da Estrella natural park provides lots of trekking paths. In the Vila apartment you can enjoy a beautiful view while drinking wine in a jacuzzi :D The trekking during July might be hard due to high temperatures and due to high grass bushes on the path.

This property offers access to a pool table, darts and free private parking. authentic place, originally a winery and olive farm. looking out over valley of river Alva and small typical village Avo. The house was full of antique furniture as well as the room with nice balcony. In the old whine making facility there is a relaxing area with tv sit, pool biljart and table football. Of course a fridge with nice local beers. Plenty of walking tracks in the area as well as interesting city’s and waterfalls nearby. The owner Manuel and assistant (?) Antonio are very friendly and helpful. When we stayed there, there were no other guests, but felt like home so no problem. Another thing we loved was the breakfast in beautiful room with valley view . Plenty of delicious local cheeses, hams, jams, breads, fruits and coffee. Best start of the day!!! Will recommend this to our friends and family.

Situated in Lavacolhos and only 46 km from Belmonte Calvário Chapel, Quinta do Ragal features accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. Quinta do Ragal was a wonderful surprise. We stayed at one of the yurts and it was lovely. The hosts Paulo and Joana were the nicest, most welcoming people and the breakfast they prepared was great. The animals in the farm are the best addition and the Jacinto, the donkey, the friendliest of all!

Set within 37 km of Cargaleiro Museum and 37 km of St. Michael's Church, Monte do Pego provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Arneiro. Exceeded my expectations. It was super peaceful and isolated but at the same time we had lots of activities to do nearby (thanks also to the summer festivities). The pool was amazing and the hosts super nice and charismatic, always available to help us!

Comfortable accommodation. Kitchen is well equipped. Lovely balcony with an amazing view!! Outdoor swimming pool was plus. Breakfast was very good and everyday with an effort to bring something new. Big star is Marisa, that throughout our stay was very attentive. A place to return for sure!

Casa de Baixo - Nature Hotel ligger i Alvoco das Várzeas. Du kan koble av i leke- og aktivitetsrommet eller baren på stedet. Alle rommene er utstyrt med flatskjerm-TV. This spot was just awesome, it was paradise. Everything was clean, comfort was great, very quiet. I really liked the decor. I had a lovely balcony over looking the property and I enjoyed watching the farm animals come to the tree near the gate for a scratch. Maragite was lovely hostess and her worker Ashef was very attentive. Breakfast was really good too!

Quinta da Aldeia Nova is located in Arganil and features a pool with a view and mountain views. The property has pool and garden views, and is 34 km from Palace of Bussaco. Everything was perfect. The hotell is up on the hills with a stuning view. Everything is new and fresh. The hosts are wonderful and they are set out to make your stay as enjoyable as possibly. The breakfast is very nice and you feel like you are in a 5 star hotell. There are plenty of activities around, try the Praia Fluvial Coja. I Will come back here again.
