I was in love with the smell of lavender😍 We were there just after the harvesting and lavender was lying in front of the house to dry on. Surrounding of the house is just magical, even more after getting some information from Melanie. She is so nice and she serves really tasty breakfast. Gita- the dog stole the hart of my little son who is afraid of dogs. I couldn't believe how gentle is the dog and how my son played with her.

Offering a garden and mountain view, House Veljko is set in Vrhovine, 42 km from Plitvice Lakes National Park - Entrance 2 and 45 km from Plitvice Lakes National Park - Entrance 1. Our host Veljko was incredibly sweet! We had a late arrival but that was no problem. He stayed up and greeted us with key and info. The breakfast was incredible! We got a nice big room, with comfortable beds. The room was booked to have a good starting point for visiting the Plitvice lakes so we only spent one night and the morning until checkout at 10. In hindsight we'd have loved to stay for two nights. It would have been a great spot to also chill out after a full day of hiking in the national park.
