An added bonus to the stay was Maggie's niece, Courtney, who taught us about the alpacas and even let us walk them—a unique and fun experience that my boyfriend, 12-year-old daughter, and I all loved. The owners were lovely and seemed very laid back and genuinely welcoming. Beds were comfy. Bathroom was nicely fitted out. We arrived during lambing season ...and the lambs were gorgeous. Also, lots of swallows on the farm and even saw a barn owl one evening. On our travels we also saw lapwings, curlew, oyster catchers, a tree creeper, and lots more ...and enjoyed a couple of very nice local walks. This was a lovely rustic retreat, at an affordable price, where we could relax in the middle of beautiful countryside.
Loved everything about Falla Farmhouse, the rural location, the peace and tranquility the animals the nature and the wonderful hosts. The house was immaculate and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay, the welcome package by the owners was a lovely touch also. Super comfy beds ensured we had some of the best nights sleeps after long walks and days out soaking up all the sights. We will be staying again
Excellent value for money. Lovely farm house in a fantastic setting. Owners were outstanding. Cannot thank them enough. We had a ball. We were looking for a relaxing break in a rural area and that's exactly what it was. We are missing it already.
Dierde and David are lovely hosts and invest a lot of effort into making your stay pleasurable. They have great knowledge of the local area and are happy to spend time sharing their tips. The property is a rustic farmhouse, ideally located for those who want the tranquillity of the countryside, and is only 25 minutes from Oban. The breakfast is excellent and cooked to order for each guest. Recommend staying here for more than a single night to really appreciate the charm of the place.
Nether Dallochy is a very attractive fully restored farmhouse in a quiet gentle rural location close to Whitehills which was exactly what I was looking for. Jacquie and Nigel made me very welcome and Jacquie’s cooking for breakfast and dinner was delicious, well presented and generous.
Quiet rural farmhouse location in delightful Borders countryside. Carol and David were perfect hosts and our accommodation was roomy and comfortable. Within a few minutes drive of pub/restaurant options if needed. Breakfast beautifully presented with lots of choice.
Killean Farm House is in a great location just outside the busy tourist town of Inveraray. It stands in its own grounds off the road so it really was a silent night. The old farmhouse has a lovely living room space with a real fire and the views from the breakfast room are fantastic. I'm not vegan but the Scottish breakfast was the best I've had. It was a great way to start the day.
