There is so much to say about this lovely place. The daily definition puts TLC into their offering. After a long day of driving and being lost I finally showed Maria took me under her wing. The grounds are beautiful, the facility is a great design and beautifully appointed, the rooms and roomy and comfortable -especially the bed- and Maria couldn’t have been more supportive in helping me plan my time to really take in the Duoro Valley -a perfect home base. The breakfasts are delicious. They also have small dishes for lunch and snacks. The Casa is in a small and charming village-which is a great place to wander and take photos. All and all of was a dreamy visit. I spent 3 days there and couid have stayed longer.

We don’t write many reviews but this place warrants one. If you’re willing to go off the beaten path this is the place. Well above, and overlooking the Douro River, the scenery is lovely. The solitude and silence is welcome if you’re looking to get away from it for a bit. The house has some of the original stone walls and while modernized and very comfortable evokes the origins of this place as an old time farm house.
While there are only 2 of us breakfast was enough for about 6 and will make for a nice picnic lunch.
A suggestion if you come. Arrive in the daylight, bring food for a picnic type dinner and enjoy it with the bottle of wine from our host Paolo’s vineyard , while taking in the surroundings. Paolo and his family are most gracious and accommodating. This place is a “ Home Run”!!!

Hosts might offer interactive kid-friendly activities or for couples, a cozy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is usually included – you may even be collecting the eggs yourself!
We loved staying at this adorable farm house. The weather didn't cooperate, but nonetheless, the area is gorgeous and we had a great time! We also were happy that our small dog was able to enjoy the trip with us. We were also super happy to have heat as it was quite cold in the Douro Valley during our stay!
We liked everything! A little paradise in the heart of Douro! The view from the property is amazing on the vineyards and the Douro valley. The house is very clean and well equipped. I personally enjoyed the quality of the bed and the bed linen. The swimming pool is perfect to relax. There is a barbecue available which is perfect to grill some fish or meat! The village is very quiet and peaceful. If you want to immerse yourself into rural Portugal, it is the perfect place.
