My sister and I stayed at Casa do Santo, and we had such a wonderful time! We both love wine, history, and beautiful nature, and this place captures it all. Go for some great vineyard visits during the day. Enjoy an amazing time by the pool in the afternoon. And if you do not have energy to go out again for dinner, just enjoy the great light meal that Casa do Santo's lovely staff (Maria is such a star!) fix for you, and enjoy a bottle of the houses own wines
For travellers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country-living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts may offer interactive kid-friendly activities or, for couples, a cosy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is often included — you may be collecting the eggs yourself!
We loved staying at this adorable farm house. The weather didn't cooperate, but nonetheless, the area is gorgeous and we had a great time! We also were happy that our small dog was able to enjoy the trip with us. We were also super happy to have heat as it was quite cold in the Douro Valley during our stay!
We liked everything! A little paradise in the heart of Douro! The view from the property is amazing on the vineyards and the Douro valley. The house is very clean and well equipped. I personally enjoyed the quality of the bed and the bed linen. The swimming pool is perfect to relax. There is a barbecue available which is perfect to grill some fish or meat! The village is very quiet and peaceful. If you want to immerse yourself into rural Portugal, it is the perfect place.
WELL CONSIDERED in all aspects! We were at the
opening of this GEM 💎 !
What a pleasure this charming wine hotel is!
Brand New, soooo clean, sooo charming, sooo comfy!
Stunning rural rustic-mod design.
VIEWS, VIEWS & V! Onto the Douro & vineyards.
Staff were the best! Such lovely people!
The family suite room was very spacious, clean, and had a perfect vibe of "casa rural". The bathroom was large and modern. The host was very chill and friendly. We could park in front of the hotel, which made things much easier. The croissants they served at the breakfast buffet were the closest to the French croissants I've had in the entire trip in Portugal! (I've been desperately looking for one)
