Amazing property, exceptional hosts(Filomena & Pedro) & lovely staff. Pedro is an avid gardener & it shows. Very clean little Casa, well equipped, good breakfast ingredients (self cooking). Also very close to a levada for walks. My only regret is that we only stayed here 3 nights.
A good location for a relaxing stay in Funchal, Quinta Devónia by An Island Apart is a farm stay surrounded by views of the garden.

Beautiful and quaint property of heritage farm value. Lovely views, gorgeous tropical and flowering plants, nice covered deck, very quiet and peaceful. Loved the chaise longue and deck furniture. Wool blankets a nice touch for sitting outside on cool mornings/evenings.
Offering a garden, Quinta das Hortênsias features accommodations in Arco de São Jorge. There's a private entrance at the farm stay for the convenience of those who stay.

Amazing stay. Houses were very cozy and in an nice environment surrounded by stunning views and garden. Very calm location. You get fresh bread every morning and everything was always clean. Lady who was taking care of the houses was very nice and you almost felt like home. Best stay in Madeira.
For travelers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts might offer interactive kid-friendly activities or for couples, a cozy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is usually included – you may even be collecting the eggs yourself!
Our stay was great, absolutely no regret choosing this place!
We appreciated the farm stay, the breakfast doing by our own with fresh eggs!
We truly thank Joana for her kindness, her availability before and during our stay, and last but not least, thanks for all the advice!
Manon and Baptiste.
Silent and relaxed stay in nature at a small farm. Good location for walking in the Northeast of Madeira.
Rural village far away from mass tourism.
Very friendly host with tips for the surroundings.
The location was as depicted. Serene and verdant mountain countryside. A quiet and tranquil venue. Very relaxing. Cottages/studios were very comfortable and cozy. Venue was within walking distance from locally owned restaurants, cafes, and small market. Very quaint. Locals were very friendly & receptive. The Sunday farmers' market is a must see and do
Nice little farm house. a wonderful view of the mountains and a piece of Jurassic forest. the hosts are friendly. Convenient location for hiking. Near the bus stop. On Sunday, you should visit the local market. It was convenient to receive fresh bread from the hosts in the morning. Beautiful sheep, goats, peacocks, horses, ducks, chickens and rabbits are well cared for on the farm.
Beautiful location. Very helpful staff. Fresh fruit amd from the farm brought daily as well as daily bread from the local bakery was a lovely touch. Lots of local knowledge and close to some great hikes
very peaceful and well equipped. very rustic and spacious. best bed so far in
Madeira! good shower too. it is also not far from the village where there is a good friendly restaurant that does traditional food and seemed very popular with the locals. there is a very authentic and historic market here which I believe is on a Sunday that looks like it is worth a visit.
