Pool was ok.. a little chilly and high cost to have heated, especially as shared pool, it seems unfair for one guest to have to foot the bill of heating it.

This is by far the most beautiful place we have ever stayed at. The apartment was extremely clean and looked amazing - we especially loved the view through our glass door from where you could see the entire valley. The outside facilities like the pool and the garden as well as the terrace could not be more perfect. We were amazed how much work is put into all the little details.
The location is perfect, a little bit up the hill right in São Vicente. You have an incredible view of the village and the mountains but you are at the same time in walking distance from the centre of the town and the ocean.
Leonel and Elda are the most amazing host we have ever met - they made us feel welcome from the first second and gave us some very useful recommendations for our trip. He also arranged for us to rent a car which worked perfectly. We really loved the selfmade wine and fresh eggs.
This place is very unique we enjoyed it so much that we did not want to leave. We are hoping to come back soon to this wonderful place!

The owner of the property was very accommodating as well as not to mention very informative of actions and events taking place near the location such a closed places as well as fire updates during that time.
For travelers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts might offer interactive kid-friendly activities or for couples, a cozy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is usually included – you may even be collecting the eggs yourself!
This place was really special. It was a traditional house located in a quiet rural location. As guests, we could use the entire property, including the pool and the garden with fruit trees. A terrace, a hammock and a grill were also available for relaxation. We really relaxed here and soaked up the wonderful atmosphere of the island. The host was warm, responded very quickly to our questions and helped us with everything. If I were to return to Madeira in the future, I would book the property again without hesitation.
Fantastic location, overlooking the water and banana farms below. The property is a gorgeous historic home converted to a boutique hotel. Friendly staff and excellent food. Would 100% return again!
this is a lovely rural house. Maria was very good to deal with, very good communicator and first class directions to the property.
everything you need is in the house. very well modernised. although it is advertised as no parking, there is plenty parking on the road in front of house.
if you are looking for modern, state of the art accommodation this is not for you. if you want a good old fashioned cottage in a rural Madeiran village, then you have found it.
We are thinking of moving to madeira so we wanted to find out what it was like to actualy live in the country,which is why we chose self catering .Nelson the property manager was very helpfull and directed us to the nearest shopping and 3 close by resteraunts etc. that were within walking distance were very good.The BBQ area is rustic but served us well . and we loved the views and the babana trees. We felt very safe and slept with the windows & doors open.
