Initially we selected Agriturismo Villa Pina mostly for its location: 4 km from Lecce, and a convenient base for our day trips around Salento to San Foca, Otranto, Galatina, Gallipoli, etc. What we didn't expect was a level of hospitality from Paola and her team. It was absolutely exceptional. Breakfast was the best we've had during our 3 week trip in Sicily and Puglia. The restaurant is a full service place run by very friendly Luigi and his crew. If you're getting tired of fish, it is the place for lovers of various meats. The herbs and vegetables are grown right here. The wine list is 100% local Salento wines. Large rooms are in the former stables, since there used to be a horse breeding operation, and room doors have the names of horses plus their birth years. The property is very large, and parking is the last thing you need to worry about.
We didn't use large pool due to the end of season, but there are plenty of space to relax, or you can cross a narrow street and see an equestrian center where teenagers are riding beautiful horses. To summarize, we felt our planning was a bit off, and wished to stay another day or two, if we could.
A note. When setting your driving route use Agriturismo Villa Pina, not just Villa Pina, which is a different place in totally different location, also near Lecce. Learn from our mistake.

We loved Villa Coluccia! Mari Angela was just a wonderful host. Her breakfasts were great. She (and her mother) are excellent bakers! She and her sister Mari Grazia were always very helpful. The gardens and citrus trees were beautiful.
And the location was perfect for our drives to Otranto, Lecce, Gallipoli and other nearby sites. Martano itself was nicer than we expected.
Located in the countryside of the Salento area, Agriturismo Antares is surrounded by olive groves.

For travelers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts might offer interactive kid-friendly activities or for couples, a cozy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is usually included – you may even be collecting the eggs yourself!
Great pool and pool bar. Attractive interesting buildings, excellent food at dinner, helpful and very friendly staff. Remote location seemed a disadvantage at first but soon became a big plus in this wonderful peaceful rural location but you really do need a car.
Everything about the location, the property, and most importantly, Massimo, our wonderful host. Massimo came to pick us from the bus station, he gave us plenty of recommendations for food and places to go. He even brought us to an olive farm to buy some real good quality olive oils. Every morning, he would prepare a wonderful breakfast and we would have great conversations together. All in all, Massimo rates as the best host in the history of my travels. Bravo Massimo. We will miss your generous hospitality.

Beautifully restored 14th-century farmhouse. Incredibly helpful concierge - they could not do enough for you: taxis, restaurant recommendations etc. Amazing pool that we had to ourselves most of the time.
The rural setting of the accommodation was fantastic. The room was beautiful and was carefully cleaned and presented. The host of the farm stay was welcoming and did everything to make us feel at home. I could not recommend this accommodation highly enough.

So convenient to the town centre. Well maintained, Italian rustic house. It has everything you need and more! The host was very knowledgeable about places to visit, eat etc. We really enjoyed our stay!
The hotel is stunning. Old school regal type stunning. The rooms and bathrooms are huge and we even had a little outside area. The pool area is so beautiful and relaxing. Nothing is too much for the staff especially Franchesco at night who was so helpful
