For travellers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country-living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts may offer interactive kid-friendly activities or, for couples, a cosy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is often included — you may be collecting the eggs yourself!
This apartment is located in a very beautiful seaside farm. It is very pleasant to take a walk around the farm in the morning and evening. This apartment is fully equipped. This is a great place for vacation and leisure.
The host is very attentive, all the instructions are handwritten. There is also a signature book for the guests to handwrite. Everyone can leave their own handwriting beautiful words.
Very spacious cottage with complete apartament-like equipment (fully equipped kitchen)
Very nice barn restaurant, good food and extremely nice service
You can watch reindeers and ducks
Each cottage has its own parking spot
Great location along Route 1 but not close to the road
Very bright (window at each side)
If you enjoy serene, scenic views without all the tourists around, this would be a perfect place. We only stayed for one night for our road trip around Iceland and wish we could stay longer. Host was very friendly, and showed us the reindeer wandering around the farm. We walked around the small hills in the water front and perfectly enjoyed our evening and morning hike (without driving anywhere). Room was very modern and cute. We have 2 young kids sharing the couch but if you have big kids it might be a bit tight.
Great staying on a working farm. The owners for fantastic to show us through the lambing sheds! Great location & stunning views. Was warm, beds were great, & had everything we needed.
The farm and surrounding fjord and landscape was amazing - I really wasn’t expecting it. Very beautiful to wander around that evening and on the morning. Facilities were good and they even had filter coffee and tea available.
Lindarbrekka was great. Simple but clean and comfortable accomodation set in an extraordinarily beautiful place, just across the road from the water and surrounded by amazing landscape. Everything we needed there, amidst beauty. Good communication and lovely to chat with the farming family there. Would definitely recommend.
I like that it was a sheep farm, although I don’t recall it being advertised as such. We were visiting at the end of the lambing season, and had the bonus of getting to see and pet some baby lambs.
Lovely old traditional farmhouse refurbished nicely. Nice and clean. Good value for money.
Very nice friendly, chatty owner who greeted everyone pleasantly. Great position with nice views and a bonus surprise of a herd of wild Reindeer grazing by the gravel road on the drive up to the guest house.
