For travelers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts might offer interactive kid-friendly activities or for couples, a cozy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is usually included – you may even be collecting the eggs yourself!
I had a delightful stay at Brigid’s farmhouse, who made me feel right at home. The staff was really friendly and helpful.
The accommodation was clean and comfortable, located in a quiet and beautiful area. It's about a 40-45 minute walk from the city center. The homemade breakfast was wonderful, especially the scones, which were simply to die for.
Charming farmhouse with plenty of space. This was our first visit to Ireland and we loved experiencing the history and beauty of this gorgeous farm community. The home feels historic but has been modernized. Comfortable beds, new bedding, plenty of hot water, close to town and easy to get to the national park. The owner was very attentive and stopped by to make sure we were settled.
Brigid was a pleasant host and provided good recommendations on where to drive to and the non touristy routes / sights. Property was located in a rural farm setting , so was quiet and away from the crowds . Appreciated the quiet setting. Homemade breakfast was great and my family and I enjoyed rhetorical stay
Foley's farmhouse is a very quaint Irish accommodation in the heart of Killarney with warm Irish hospitality and a lovely bar and restaurant where we enjoyed a traditional Irish breakfast. Killarney is a lovely town and was the beginning of our trip around the spectacular Ring of Kerry. We would stay at Foley's Farmhouse again.
Tig Rua was just delightful. It was such a quaint Irish farmhouse. My children loved that there were cows adjacent to the home. Everything was ready and clean. Beds were comfortable and and tons of space. Donal stopped by to add more wood to the fire and check to see that we had everything we needed. He was extremely friendly and helpful.
The lodgings emit a delightful and classic atmosphere while upholding a commendable level of hygiene. Our sojourn was pleasurable, providing an authentic taste of farmhouse living. Furthermore, the hosts displayed exceptional kindness and adaptability.
Very charming old farmhouse, with silent surroundings and very well equipped kitchen and living room (large selection of DVDs). Close to Kilarney National Park for hiking.
Location was great. It was a charming little place-it reminded me of staying at my grandmothers farm house. The staff was friendly and breakfast was good.
A lovely traditional farmhouse in a very quiet rural location. Everything you need at the cottage for a self catering stay. The host was very friendly and even lit the fire while we were out each evening which was lovely to return to.
