This villa is really luxorious! Perfectly cleaned, everything so well organized. The atmosphere is so relaxing. Villa was in the middle of authentic rural area where one could see sheep wandering on the mountain side. You could here other animals as well and mean while eagles were watching over us
We had a lovely stay at Xirouchakis farm. Room was clean and a good size with a separate kitchen living room area. We enjoyed great hospitality on top of this from the hosts Stelios and Mina. The apartments are located on the edge of Kissamos so has a very nice rural feel while still being close enough to walk anywhere is the main town.

Nice big fridge and well equipped kitchen. A very quiet rural location, very peaceful. Linda who greeted us was very helpful.
Stylish, spacious, clean. In a semi-rural location, the only sounds goats, cockerels & dogs. A few minutes walk to restaurants, supermarkets & shops. Babis was an extremely helpful host - he even came to find us when the bus dropped us off in the wrong place!
Petronila is a sensational villa. Kostas was the perfect host, always available to help if we needed it and he kept the fridge stocked with local wine, fresh vegetables and eggs from his farm. The villa was spotless, perfectly maintained and had a brilliant pool house where we spent a lot of our time. I couldn't express enough how much we loved our time in Crete and our stay in Kissamos at Petronila. Thankyou Kostas! We will be back 🙏
The cottage was a relaxing base for exploring the western end of Crete, in a peaceful semi-rural location.
Kitchen very compact, but well-equipped with a mini oven and hob. Good bathroom and comfortable bed.
The balcony was lovely for sitting out enjoying the view over Kissamos bay.
Everything was brilliant! The apartment was really large and beautiful, and Joanna was super warm and helpful! She left some desserts on the table everyday and gave us some olive oil (actually, a lot) from her farm as gift. Really very nice experience! Would warmly recommend it to everyone!
It’s in a really great location, so close to the town of Kissamos and so close to the road to Balos, well connected to explore the surrounding area. the grassy areas and common areas are really pretty, clean and well-kept. The beach right in front of the pool and breakfast area is charming, with crystal clear waters (when it’s not windy). It’s rustic and there are absolutely no crowds. The staff was so nice and welcoming and breakfast was really good, beautifully set in the pool area with a perfect view of the sea.
If you are looking for something really quiet, this is the place to be. It's also a strategic place if you want to spend a day at Elafonisi beach and not have to drive back and forth to Chania or Rethimno. There are a few small local taverns nearby which is a great way to spend the evenings mingling with the locals. The accommodation itself is very well done, it has a rustic touch and it's spotless! I'd go back anytime!
