For travelers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts might offer interactive kid-friendly activities or for couples, a cozy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is usually included – you may even be collecting the eggs yourself!
Beautiful home, comfortable room and lovely hosts. We enjoyed having breakfast at the large farmhouse table and befriending the other interesting guests.
Super farmhouse with really lovely hosts. Breakfast each morning was sublime - locally sourced ingredients beautifully prepared to order. Very attractive room with smart, modern bathroom. Small village with excellent local pub, walkable from the property. Very rural location with small lanes to access property. Nice walks on the doorstep.
Beautifully appointed king-room in charming farmhouse, set in a picturesque village location. Great attention to detail by our hosts, Tim and Sheila. The breakfast choices were extensive and the daily homemade bread was delicious.
It was a lovely farmhouse with a lovely host. It was very clean and comfortable, surrounded by natural beauty, and close to the nearby beaches (15 minutes ride). Joan is a hardworking person and we enjoyed hearing the stories of the house and the land from her.
Staying in a working farm was interesting. Be prepared for animal noises and workers have an early start.
The farm house is as you would expect, not modern but the room was clean had a good bed with coffee tea facilities and a fridge.
My 2nd stay at Estuary View Farm. The view of the estuary is lovely, the gardens are bright and cheerful and well kept. The room is large and comfy with a lovely bathroom. Breakfast choices are good and the host is very welcoming.
Great base for enjoying walks around Devon.
Kingsbridge is a nice small town within a short walk with a good range of independent shops. I can highly recommend both La Ranchera and Dream restaurants for delicious meals and nice atmosphere.
