In a peaceful countryside location, only 6.8 mi from Bath, these beautifully converted farm buildings offer self catering cottages and rooms with attached bathroom with their own separate entrance.

Ample off street parking. Converted farm buildings. Big room, with a slightly awkward step next to the bed, by the door. Comfortable bed. Nice treats left for us. No breakfast, but good restaurants in Bradford on Avon. Convenient location for Great Chalfield, Bradford on Avon Tithe Barn, Fairleigh Hungerford Castle.

Lovely welcome from the host, including a fresh cake as well as the breakfast included. They lit a candle on the table outside our hut and put the fairy lights on ready. Perfect, quiet getaway and could see the stars in the sky. We are looking forward to planning another stay here.

What a lovely farm setting. Everyone got to pet the horses. Beds were comfy and breakfast was excellent. This was a great break from city hotels and the entire family (8 of us) loved the experience.

Everything about our stay in the Shepherds Hut at Great Ashley Farm was lovely. The Hut is laid out to give a surprising amount of space and extremely comfortable. Tucked away among the trees you feel like you’re far away from anyone! The breakfast hamper was perfect providing something for everyone (eggs, pastries, yogurt etc). The whole stay was so nice we wish we could have stayed longer.

Bed was very comfortable, room has everything you need unless you don’t use microwave ovens, shower good, hosts lovely and very helpful. Location is rural so you need a car or taxi to get around. This is our 2nd stay here and we have no complaints.

Wonderful host provided a generous welcome pack of strawberries, cream and cake. Excellent shower, very comfortable mattress and sofa, well equipped kitchen area and even 2 dressing gowns.. Although it is compact, the flat has been well designed with enough hanging space, kitchen storage, a BBQ and outside seating area. In a rural setting, 15 minutes walk to the centre of Bradford on Avon (but it's uphill coming back!)

Room very nice indeed, its an old farmhouse so expect wibbly wobbly floors, beams etc. I love the old charm. Dinner was fantastic, chef is very good. I had a belly pork with veggies which were perfect. I would love crackling but never mind. Young man on reception desk got his own charm, you get what you see. Again I love it. Can't comment on breakfast - we opt out .

My friend and I stayed I The Tup shepherd hut. It was cosy, clean and quiet with the most beautiful views. There was lots of little added touches such as a gift basket. We got to see beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Helen was super helpful with how to get around and what was close. It was a 20 minute drive into Bath city centre. We got to see the horses and cows in the barn which added to our perfect weekend. Such a beautiful and relaxing weekend at Great Ashley farm.

Beautiful farm stay, location was perfect to visit Stonehenge and Bath..you would need a car to get to Stonehenge but you can walk through the fields into town and get a train to Bath.. The room was spacious and very comfortable. A peaceful getaway from the noisy cities. Our hosts were very kind, accommodating and hospitable. I would definitely go beck and stay again.

Rooms were in modern converted barns / out buildings within a spacious, secure, gated rural property. Dick was a great host and the breakfast served in the Tuck barn between 8am and 9.30 was excellent. Although on the outskirts of Bradford on Avon, it was only a short stroll to the Kitchen Restaurant at Widbrook Grange and The Boathouse on the Marina. The town centre was only a 30 minute walk along the canal path, where you could take a short train journey into Bath.

Host Suzanne was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making sure we had everything we needed. Her home is a lovely old farmhouse in a quiet peaceful location - the King room had incredible views overlooking fields (we enjoyed watching the cows in the morning!) We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can't thank Suzanne enough.
