For travelers in search of an experience, nothing says authentic country living like a stay at a private, working farm. Hosts might offer interactive kid-friendly activities or for couples, a cozy haven in an original/converted farmhouse. Breakfast is usually included – you may even be collecting the eggs yourself!
Rustic setting, but immaculately clean. We were met by Nicholas who runs the place, more or less on his own and also prepared our evening meal. He is an extremely pleasant young man who does a great job and not only prepared a very good evening meal for us, but also provided wine and beer as required and was excellent company during the evening. Whilst the location was a little remote, for our brief stay this did not detract from our visit as we were touring the whole island. Very good quality facilities and comfortable bed at a modest price.
This guest house is several km out of Corte in a semi-rural location. The immediate environment is attractive with a large garden and surrounding fields. There is also a nearby wood/plantation of cork trees. Our host was very welcoming and attentive, and he provided some excellent advice on local walking tracks, and routes to take and places to visit more remotely. There was a very good continental breakfast that included various cheeses and yoghurt.
I love to stay in the quiet of the country which L’Albadu offers; there were lovely views of the mountains and town of Corte. it looks to be a working farm which is also very appealing. The gentleman administering our stay was welcoming.
Lovely host who is passionate about sharing Corte and Corsica. Delicious dinner of Corsican dishes on our last night there. The location is right in their working farm surrounded by grazing pigs and cattle with easy access to amazing hikes, swims, and easy drive to downtown Corte. Being able to get served breakfast to our room the night before getting up early for a day hike to the GR20 and Lac de Capitello was very appreciated.
Farm experience. Place is quiet, easy parking, the owner is full of tips about the area, which was nice. It's a spartan stay, good for a couple of nights if you're exploring the area.
This is a unique experience in Corsica. It is a working farm. But it is also a small, modern inn. The staff was great. The room was spacious and comfortable.
Nice B&B near a bucolic farm. Delicious breakfast (served outdoors in the summer). Comfortable beds.
