The host was very friendly, very swift with her replies and very eager to help. She welcomed us with wine, which we were allowed to exchange for a jar of home made marmelade.
We stayed in the appartement in the attic. We were positively surprised by the spaciousness and the fact that we had the entire attic for ourselves.
The location is superb: there are many hiking trails with various difficulty levels nearby and many interesting locations/museums/cities within a 1-1,5hr drive.
The view is magnificent and the cows surrounding the building are really sweet. We were also lucky they had some smaller calves who were mooing beneath the window in the morning: much better then an alarm clock.
The present amenities are basic, but sufficient. The kitchen is provided with the necessary equipment to cook a proper meal. The dishwasher is a real treat. And the shower and bathtub are a very lovely warm welcome after a active day in the outdoors.
There's no WiFi and hardly any connection with your cellphone/roaming internet. There is a television present with a satellite connection, but it's pretty old school (including the high toned buzz) and there are mostly German (synchronized) programs.
We were happy to be isolated from the rest of the world during our holiday. We spend a lot of time outdoors and we took some boardgames with us for the rainy days/evening hours.
But if you are living in fear of missing out and you therefore crave the internet etc.you will probably have a hard time enjoying yourself here.
Schwoererhof is located in Schweighausen, just 19 miles from Europa-Park and 26 miles from Messe Freiburg. Both free Wifi and parking on-site are available at the farm stay free of charge.

Beautiful property, very clean, central location, well stocked, very responsive friendly host, and within walking distance to a small supermarket/cafe. The cafe was delicious and had everything to get us by. The place is very well taken cared of and very comfortable. The host sold us fresh eggs which we ate everyday!

Breakfast was excellent- the rooms were immaculate - comforters and pillows seemingly brand new. The dining area was beautiful and the table presentation was perfect for the period home and location. We went to the open air farm museum right down the street so it was convenient
The property is lovely with excellent views on all sides. It is traditional and modern! My kids love the farm and all the cats. It’s a great location very near the Rhodelbahn, Open Air Museum and 25 minutes to Triberg.
We stayed in one of the 3-bedroom apartments. The space was plenty big enough for us (family of 5). The farm is lovely and traditional- plenty of homemade produce to enjoy during breakfast and dinner. We also made use of the sauna. Our children loved playing with the kittens. The team were very friendly and helpful and did everything possible to ensure we enjoyed our stay.

Our stay in Blumbauernhof was real pleasure. The apartment, farm and its sorrounding are outstanding. Owners think two steps ahead what would make visit more comfortable and attractive for their guests. Very inspiring place.
The holiday farm is perfect for families and also those without children. The location is idea situated between many attractions and local amenities. Our children spent hours on the trampoline, football pitch, sand pit and many toy vehicles. We loved the space, view and peace which are second to none.
The quaint, quiet location and all the space. Our 7 year old loved the trampoline, football pitch, the toys, the sand pit….and kept asking when we could go back home (home was Blumbauernhof!)
The stay at Blumbauernhof was excellent . The location is very nice. Hosts were amazing and taking care of everything during our stay.. We went for 2 day getaway and had really great and relaxing time. My daughter just loved being around and playing with Ponies (Lilly made her stay memorable ), bunnies, cow and goats. We are already looking forward to go back in Autumn… I would highly recommend stay in Blumbauernhof if you are going to Black Forest.
