The meals were delicious, and the chef was always present to talk with us. The hotel ambiance seems like a small antique palace, which makes you feel like a prince. The Great Gatsby Hotel in Houghton is straight out of a dream. It's gorgeous and one of the prettiest I have stayed in. My room, the Library, was my dream room. Cosy and beautiful, I could have stayed there for days, devouring all the books. This hotel is beautiful and offers warm hospitality and attentive service. It's set in a lovely neighbourhood, although in Johannesburg, that means little as you cannot walk freely in the city. For a different and unique experience in Johannesburg, do not hesitate to book here.
