The property is very well located, easy walked to lots of restaurants, bars, the beach, and wine tasting/breweries. The pool was a perfect place to spend a day, and enough space that we never felt crowded.

Located next to the Funk Zone in Santa Barbara, the Hotel Californian is just steps from the beach and features an outdoor pool. Everything was great ! Room is clean , very comfortable. Location good.

Great location, two minutes from the rail station and on the main street, a few minutes walk to the beach and pier. Good quality Mexican restaruant next door.

The hotel was in a good location - just a short walk to the seafront and downtown Santa Barbara. The hotel is really quite quirky - with some lovely decoration and a funky feel. Liked the shared space downstairs in reception where there was an honesty bar and where a simple breakfast was served (tea, coffee, juice, some fruit, bagels and pastries). We hadnt expected this so was a nice extra. There was also a big fridge and freezer where guests could keep own items as there was nothing in the room for this. There was a really nice outside area with comfy seating, a clean pool, table tennis table. The room itself was comfy and my son (12) loved sleeping in the murphy bed which pulled down over the main double bed. Had a really nice welcome and the offer of a complimentary drink on arrival from a very lovely member of staff/owner (Derek?)

Great location for everything we wanted to do. It felt safe, and the beds were SO comfy! The bathrooms were clean and the showers were absolutely lovely, loved that they had a private toilet for added privacy. They have lots of lockers and good access to the surrounding area, everything was about a 5-15 minute walk which was perfect I'd definitely stay here again so I can experience more of what they have to offer!
