I like the Elysian Bar soooo much and had several of my dinners there, please try every plates if possible. Besides, the hotel location is good if you are looking for somewhere close to local people’s life, although is a little bit far away walking from the main attractions (for example, the French Square, 18 minutes walk), but worth it because most of the time it’s quite and safe. I chose the room “school house”which got a big bathroom, that’s nice.

It was clean, comfortable and spacious. They have an intreresting pool. On the street there are 3 nearby bars, but there was no noise in the room. The parking lot is perfect, it’s am interior parking that they close during the night. I saw the parking behind the hotel, that’s autdoor but also closed up by a fance. The hotel is in the historical part of the town, very close to the Burbon street. Every attraction is walking distance. The staff was natural friendly.

The hotel is charming and the area is vibrant without being overrun by tourists. The hotel staff were more than friendly. They helped me when I was in a bit of a jam, making it apparent that this is a small independently owned business, who treats their guests like humans.

Set in a restored 1884 Victorian mansion, the Melrose Mansion is situated in New Orleans' celebrated French Quarter on the historic Esplanade Avenue. The staff was unbelievable. It was a pleasure being in your hotel.

I asked for a surprise birthday setting and they were so accommodating and was so beautiful!
