The boutique Santa Grand Hotel East Coast is located in the laidback area of Katong, known for its rich heritage and culture. The sight on the rooftop pool was so nice. This place is accessible from the Changi airport by a bus #36 for S$2. Or you can use the MRT (Marine Parade). You can visit the Peranakan museum nearby. It's worth visisting to understand Singapore's heritage.

Very close to MRT, which also serves as an underground pass to a hawker area and mall with decent food options, as well as a long waterfront jogging/cycling road.
