Solar do Castelo is a wonderful historic hotel, right in the heart of Alfama, with good service and very friendly staff. I enjoyed a historic room with a high ceiling, just beautiful. Breakfast was very nice to enjoy, with the inner court yard next to a large room, nicely set. It is like a holiday treat.

This is a great place to stay in Lisbon right around the corner from the St George castle. The room was very spacious and had a nice sitting area with a couch and chairs. View was amazing. Breakfast was very good and the staff was very helpful with anything. They booked us a shuttle to the airport as well. The neighborhood was nice and not overly touristy. Also about a 10 min walk to the castle entrance. Also on a couple of tram lines. Included photo is the actual view out of the window.

Perfect location for me, within a busy neighbourhood but an oasis of calm with the door closed at night. I could walk everywhere easily, or take tram 12. The wine bar Graço do Vinho is well worth a visit for the laid back knowledgeable owner’s recommendations! Also the local handicrafts shop by the Sushi place, the bakers in R de Santa M. nha for fresh bread and pastries.

The pet-friendly Castle Lisbon Typical offers bright apartments in the typical Alfama district, a few steps from São Jorge Castle. The apartments include free Wi-Fi access and cable TV. Amazingly location with an unforgettable view. Also very quiet.
