The hotel itself is a gem filled with architectural and historical significance as the former kitchens of the castle. The rooms are lovely, the staff friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is top notch. Would stay again in a heartbeat

Moreover, It is so convenient to reach major local attractions in both of Alfama and Baixa within walking distances. Rodrigo as our service staff is excellent. In particular, he welcomed us on the site for check-in and helped us to move our luggage from outside into the apartment. Also, he came over to help us again to move our luggage from the apartment to the taxi while we checked out. The host, Barbara & Pedro, did an exceptional job about pre-check-in by providing all-kinds of information about check-in instructions and local tourist information by using emails a few days early before we arrived, and arranged Rodrigo to welcome and help us since we are over 70s old. During our stay, the host created a chat group of WhatsApp with us to keep connection between open and smooth in order to meet any necessary requests that we may raise. We never have so nice experience before with rental hosts during traveling.
