A very comfortable Japanese family home with a mix of modern and traditional features. Each room had an air-conditioner which allowed for cosy ambient temperatures throughout our 8 nights in mid December that dropped to 2 degrees celsius on some nights. The property is very clean and is located in a quiet residential area, very close to the train station but far enough not to hear the sound of the trains. The owner is a very kind and friendly person and also very quick to respond to messages in English and provided us with detailed and easy to understand information which was helpful. There are a number of convenience stores and a large supermarket also. Getting to the accommodation from Kansai airport was also fairly straightforward. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here as kids got to sleep on tatami mats and futon (while parents slept in normal beds). I definitely recommend this accommodation especially for families who want to experience living in a Japanese home.

First of all, the owner is very kind and attentive. They consistently follow up on the guest's stay from booking to check-out, and respond to messages promptly. Before checking in, we lost our wallet on the tram. The host has been very helpful in following up and trying to retrieve it. We are truly grateful.

Renovated in August 2017, Guesthouse Sumiyoshi is nestled a 5-minute stroll from Kohama Station. Guest rooms are air-conditioned and free WiFi access is featured throughout the entire property. I absolutely loved this hostel! It’s one of the best hostels I have ever stayed in. There’s an elevator. The hosts are very kind and very generous. We needed an extra bed arranged unexpectedly and they arranged it for us without any trouble. The place is really clean and super super spacious. The common room is amazing with access to lots of games and amenities such as microwave and cutlery. The bathrooms are clean - the showers are great with amazing water pressure. The place is located quite centrally - close to station and only 15 mins from Namba and very easy to connect to the airport from there too. There’s a family mart not too far from the place and a laundry service place closeby. Thank you so so much to the hosts! We had the best stay!

Open from March 2016, Bonfire Hostel Osaka offers cozy dormitory rooms and private rooms located in a quiet neighbourhood. I enjoyed my time there so much. Chieri is really nice host, I stayed for a week and feel home. I needed that after a very long trip. It's perfect place with beautiful people. Thank a lot ❤️
