Conveniently set in the Nishikyo Ward district of Kyoto, Kadensho, Arashiyama Onsen, Kyoto - Kyoritsu Resort is located 1.6 km from Arashiama Bamboo Grove, 3.7 km from Otagi Nenbutsu-ji Temple and 4.5... Alt vi ønsket oss! Vi ønsket oss et sted med både mulighet for onsen og keiseki-opplevelse. Vi var mange venner på tur, og ønsket en hyggelig og tradisjonell japansk opplevelse. Rommene var store, rene og gode, og det er store kurver tilgjengelig så du kan ta med alt du trenger til onsen. Du får også låne både yukata og samue til å bruke på hotellet. Onsen er en fantastisk opplevelse, både de felles, kjønnsdelte, - og de mindre private . De krever ikke booking, og systemet er lett å forstå. Maten er nydelig, både middag og frokost er i keiseki-stil, som er mange små retter presentert og sammensatt ut fra sesongens råvarer, smak, tekstur og presentasjon. Det er som små kunstverk, var en stor del av besøket for oss. Stedet ligger en kort gåtur fra bambusskogen og flere severdigheter, og det er et hyggelig handlestrøk rett over elven der det er alt for lett å bruke penger. Det er ikke til å komme unna at det er ganske «turistifisert», men det er allikevel mange spesielle butikker som selger unike ting du ikke finner andre steder, og gatene er koselige å gå i. Så varm anbefaling :)

Located in Kyoto and with Arashiama Bamboo Grove reachable within 1.3 km, Yado Arashiyama -13歳以上限定- provides a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a restaurant. The breakfast was truly extraordinary -12 exquisitely prepared small dishes. The rooms are impeccable and there is a nice small lounge with eclectic decor. The location is superb, just out of the tourist fray of Arishiyama and a few steps from the trail along the river bank -- go early in the morning and you will be alone enjoying the pristine forest and river.
