Drinks buffet offered for everyone at the lobby. Restaurant is also really good even though a bit pricier than the ones in the city.

Well situated in the Chuo Ward district of Kobe, Kobe Luminous Hotel Sannnomiya is situated 25 km from Mt. Rokko, 22 km from Mount Maya and 1.5 km from Kobe Port Tower. Clean, separate toilet and bathtub is a good design. Location is few minutes walk from Sannomiya station and it's a business area, so it's quiet at night.

Hotel Monte Hermana Kobe Amalie is a 3-minute walk from Sannomiya Hanshin Station and a 10-minute walk from the historical district of Kitano Ijinkan. The room is larger than anticipated and offers excellent security with doors that separate the entrance from the room.

My decision to stay here was influenced by a previous stay at Hotel Sui in Kobe which is the flagship hotel. That hotel had bigger rooms, a great location, and extremely helpful staff. Kanda location is very different. I've stayed in APA hotels many times and was thinking it would be a much different experience. It was and was not. The hotel itself was well-maintained and the free coffee/tea offered in the common lobby was a nice alternative to very small rooms. This hotel is just a tad better than an APA hotel experience.
