On the banks of the River Irwell, the award-winning Lowry has rooms with views, a riverside restaurant and a spa. Free WiFi is also available. Everything was absolutely sensational - definitely one of the best value hotels I have ever stayed in. The room was amazing!

I had a great room with large comfy bed, breakfast venue is large to accommodate more people… and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Plus there is a tram stop next to the hotel and it takes only 15 minutes to get to the city center. Definitely going to stay there again if I’m back in Manchester :)

I have no idea why the rating is so low but it was a great stay and I even had a heater working🤣 You can get here by bus at 2 pounds - the stop is outside, it is a quiet and safe neighbourhood there is Lidl on the way to get some food. Check in is remote - you get your room number and a code for the keys - the locker can be tricky - push harder to open. Towels and linen were included in the rate, soap and shampoo. They even provide a small tea pot, that was very lovely along with coffee. The rooms and property are a bit outdated and it’s not that fancy of a place but among all the variants in Manchester this was the best. You can also use a kitchen to heat smth.
