I've been a fan of the Standard hotel London for a long time. It's always a pleasure to come back here with my husband or with colleagues. I love the interior and the exterior, the food, the staff and, certainly, the vibe at the Standard hotel.

Situated in Bloomsbury, London, the family-run Harlingford Hotel features free WiFi and is just 700 metres from British Museum. The location is spot on, easy walk to lots of spots and Euston and Kings Cross. The room was clean and well furnished, enough space to put down my luggage and get ready. Lots of light, a big sash window, a lovely bathroom. Very clean. The staff were so helpful and they have a luggage store you can use before check in and after check out, perfect for a one night stay with two days out. Down a quiet, very pretty street and felt well away from the bustle of the city. Perfect for a solo traveller.
