There is a real homely atmosphere and connection to cultural traditions. The wonderful and helpful hosts have thought of everything a guest might need. The guesthouse is very close to the coast where people like to walk. Edinburgh city centre is within easy reach by bus. Highly recommended.

Very comfortable home with all facilities you need for a few days away. Shower gel,shampoo,towels,welcome pack for breakfast . Comfortable beds and fabulous modern shower.Lots of storage in bedrooms too. Dining room with patio out the back. Garden was secluded and private and very quiet . Great idea to get into city was the 8 minute train ride costing £3 taking 3minutes to walk up to station and train right into Waverly. A real home from home.

Cabin by the coast is located in the Portobello district of Edinburgh, 7.7 km from Royal Mile, 8.1 km from Arthurs Seat and 8.1 km from Edinburgh Waverley station. Lola is very very kind, accommodating and helpful. She goes beyond and helps to get you comfortable. Everything was clean and spot on. Microwave and kettle was provided with some glasses,plates, tea, coffee and milk. Very warm and cozy stay. Beach is 2 mins walk from the cabin. Ideal for 2 people. A proper guide is provided to nearest and best eateries, cafes, bus stops and train stations.

The cottage was very comfortable and homey: comfortable beds, good heating, just spacious enough without feeling overwhelming. The location is good; it was easy to get public transport to various places, or just walk to some of the nearer ones. The hosts were communicative and very helpful.

We traveled 4000 miles to be with family for a holiday, and found ourselves very comfortable, with plenty of room, enjoying amazing views, and in a great location! The public bus was so easy to catch and take around, we absolutely made the most of our stay.

The property was in a great location with access to the beach and easy access to public transport which took you into Edinburgh’s city centre. Steph and her family were attentive and responded to our questions/ needs throughout the stay. They really added to the experience of our trip.
