Located on Princes Street, The Balmoral has a 4 AA Rosette restaurant, a pool and a gym. Waverley Station and Edinburgh's main shopping area are within 5 minutes' walk. The front door men were amazing and helpful. Front desk was good too.

Beautiful historic suite in a beautiful historic location, but with great modern amenities, and helpful attentive staff. We went there for our anniversary, and loved it, and would recommend it to anyone. We stayed in the Armory suite, and we loved the busts of the alchemists, the pictures of the kings of Scotland, and the steel plate armour helmets you can pick up. Not sure they are really historic though :) The restaurant is great too if you can get a reservation, but be sure to reserve early or you will miss out...

In the vibrant Grassmarket area, the Apex Grassmarket Hotel has a sauna, a pool, a gym, an award-winning restaurant, and free WiFi for guests to enjoy. The Hotel, staff, location and facilities were wonderful. Everyone so friendly and helpful, can't wait to go back!
