The non-smoking HOtello Schwabing offers modern rooms with free WiFi. It is a direct underground ride from the Marienplatz square in Munich’s city centre. The location of the hotel is excellent, very close to Giselastraße station, where there are U-Bahn lines that directly go to Marienplatz, city center, as well Olympic Park and Alienzarena on the other side. The center can be reached on foot as well, and it's a pleasant 30 minutes walk, where you can see Siegestor, even a bit of English Garden, and Odeonsplatz. What was also amazing was the restaurant Petit Fritz. The street in front of the hotel felt so alive thanks to it! In the morning, it's crowded by people having (excellent although a bit on the pricier side) French breakfast, and in the evening there's always people drinking wine. Amazing experience. The room itself was great, even though we imagined it to be small, it didn't feel small. The bed was comfortable, the TV supported Chromecast, the bathroom was clean and had a very modern feel to it. There's a place to sit, like a reading nook, which came in handy for late night snacks. Although there isn't a fridge in the room. All in all, we are very happy with the hotel, and it served us great as a base to explore Munich further. The hotel is modern and clean, and the staff was very helpful and kind.
