The Fontenay Hamburg is a 5-star hotel situated on the shore of the Alster Lake in Hamburg, within walking distance of the famous shopping area at Jungfernstieg. Excellent hotel, very modern and stylish, spacious rooms. Located in a quiet area about a 20 minute walk away from Jungfernstieg. Food is out of this world, unfortunately I I didn’t have the opportunity to try out the Lakeside restaurant , but their Parkside restaurant is wonderful as well. Staff treat you like a king.

Excellent location, quiet but nevertheless not far from the train station and Hamburg central station. Staff was super friendly and very helpful, rooms were large, clean and well equipped. Just a 5-minute walk from Dammtor railway station and Hamburg's city centre, this privately run hotel in the historic Dammtorpalais is located near the congress centre and exhibition grounds. Everything was excellent. The lady at the reception, which may be the owner, goes out of her way to help you and make your stay as pleasant as possible. Inside the hotel is beautiful and really a place to rest well.
