While the external looks like old Shanghai style, the facility in room is modern and smart. Color mode is white and black, but makes you feel very warm. The staff are all super friendly, especially a girl named Vicky. The bar on top floor is also great, with good view and chilled atmosphere.

I highly recommend the Roof bar on the 29th floor where you can enjoy the outstanding view of Shanghai. With over 9 decades of history, the iconic Fairmont Peace Hotel was a favourite with the local elite and foreign celebrities, including Charlie Chaplin. Breakfast was OK. It would be great if more options could be offered. Staff services were top notch.
